Hermaeus Mora, roughly analogous to his appearance in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dragonborn.
Mora is one of the most obvious homages to Lovecraft's universe buried under the skin of Bethesda's long-running Elder Scrolls series. Speaking in a halting, Bane-like voice and rambling in a riddling fashion, it is the keeper of all the knowledge of the world and the Planes of Oblivion - and if it doesn't know something, it'll do anything to acquire what it lacks..
Good freaking Egypt, was he reticent about being immortalized. Several more pictures will be uploaded showing certain details. He measures approximately four to five inches high and is extraordinarily fragile for such a beast. The base was sculpted separately and is actually on straight. As has been reported elsewhere, I am a poor photographer working with subpar studios.
Sculpey III, wax tools, Gorilla Glue, patience, whiskey, x-acto knife, varnish, rum, NyQuil, and an earnest invocation to all the little gods to quit giving me such a hard fucking time keeping his tentacles intact.
Nice job, there! I so love Hermaeus Mora... I'd love to have a little altar like that. But I have not played Dragonborn yet (I'm on PC!) so I don't want any spoil... I keep all my hopes that it all will be as I ever dreamed it would be... *u*
That I did. Took three days at about four hours a session. The base and book, lower eyeball cluster, and main eye 'core' were three separate pieces now permanently joined together. Everything is in polymer clay with some internal wire.
